Information, including product pricing and availability may be changed and updated without notice. Burgundy Pasture Beef reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, and/or cancel orders at its discretion, including, without limitation if Burgundy Pasture Beef believes that customer conduct violates applicable law or is harmful to the interests of Burgundy Pasture Beef.
We collect personally identifiable information, like names, physical addresses, email addresses, etc., when voluntarily submitted by our visitors. The information you provide is used to fulfill your specific request. This information is only used to fulfill your specific request, unless you give us permission to use it in another manner, for example to add you to one of our mailing lists.
We may share information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting us in fraud prevention or investigation. We may do so when: (1) permitted or required by law; or, (2) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or, (3) investigating fraud which has already taken place. The information is not provided to these companies for marketing purposes.
Your personally identifiable information is kept secure. Only authorized employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information. All emails and newsletters from this site allow you to opt out of further mailings.
Shipping & Delivery
We ship in the continental United States, plus Alaska and Hawaii.
Orders placed for delivery in the states of Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon and Nevada – must be shipped at UPS 3 Day Select Rates – maximum transit time (due to extended transit times at the regular ground rate). Orders to all other states are sent by UPS – Ground Rate (unless expedited shipping is selected). When your order is shipped you will receive notification (via email) of the package in transit (and ability to track its progress and delivery date).
Orders are sent with a “shipper release” – meaning the UPS driver is authorized to LEAVE the package at your given address without a signature (to prevent delays in delivery). It is the customers responsibility to know that an address is suitable for a package being left with no signature. All orders for shipment must have a physical address for delivery (no Post Office Boxes).
Destinations determine ship dates: Typically orders will be shipped the day they are received (orders received by 3 pm CDT) – but the destination address may affect the ship date. All shipments are from our Grandview, TX Market and Store. We will make a determination of ship date based upon the transit time to your delivery address. Shipments are made Monday through Thursday. All shipments must arrive by Friday of the week shipped. Some orders placed during the week would not be able to ship until the following Monday unless expedited shipping is selected (next day, 2 day, etc).
All items (except dry goods) – are shipped frozen. We use heavily insulated containers which may also be boxed. Usually your order will arrive frozen solid. But depending on the transit time and the time of year – there may be slight thawing around the edges of the various cuts when received. Starting to thaw is much colder than a refrigerator. If a shipment is delayed and the order is thawed, you will want to check the temperature. The best method for doing this is to place a digital meat cooking thermometer in between two meat packages that you press together. To be safe, the temperature of the meat must be less than 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
When receiving - care should always be taken to immediately unpack your order and place items in the freezer or thaw to prepare.
We are shipping perishable product and therefore are not able to accept returns. These items cannot be restocked, or resold. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact Burgundy Pasture Beef within 7 days of receipt. We will gladly review your order and any reported issues and offer an appropriate solution which may include replacement of the product in question, credit toward another order, or a partial/full refund. Since we are not able to physically access the product, we may ask you provide photos of the product label and damage reported.
We cannot guarantee the condition of the delivery if the address is incorrectly entered. When placing your order, please enter the shipping address carefully to ensure accuracy. If an order is returned to us because of an incorrect address provided, we must dispose of the contents and you will not be refunded. In the event that an order is delivered late due to an incorrect address or you are unable to retrieve on the delivery date and thawing/damage occurs, you will not be refunded.
Delays or damage can occur once the package is in transit via the carrier – that are out of our control (i.e. weather, accidents, etc.). If damage is caused by improper handling or late delivery, we are happy to file a claim and replace the shipment. Please notify us of this event within 7 days of receipt – provide a description of the damage and photos. Photos are required to show proof of damage.
